Schools Rule hits the $1mil Mark

Last month, SchoolsRule distributed a record $1M in funds to Marin Public School districts at our 8th annual distribution celebration! Since 2012, SchoolsRule has distributed a total of $4.8M to districts countywide supporting programs in the areas of literacy, technology, the arts and health. Each year we have been able to increase our funding amount thanks to the generosity of our many donors and we are beyond grateful for their continued support. Read the full Marin IJ article!

Program Spotlight: Marin MOCA + Novato 5th Grade Students

Marin MOCA and Novato 5th Grade Schools Program
SchoolsRule donations have increased every year and thanks to the additional funds received this year, School Fuel, the Novato Foundation for Public Education, is able to fund a new partnership with the Marin Museum of Contemporary Art (Marin MOCA) that will partner artists from the museum with each fifth grade classroom for a lesson and instruction. Each class will have the opportunity to take a field trip to the museum to view the works on exhibit, studios of working artists, and spend time working on their own art inspired by what they experience. Marin MOCA will also host a show of student created works.
