SchoolsRule Provides $650,000 in Funds

Last week, SchoolsRule provided $650,000 in funds to Marin public school districts which was announced at our 9th annual distribution celebration via Zoom on October 27th! Although less than last year's record breaking $1M distribution, this was an amazing achievement considering current circumstances, offering critical funding at a time when our schools need our support now more than ever. Thanks to the continued generosity of our donor community, since 2012, SchoolsRule has distributed a total of nearly $5.5M to districts countywide supporting programs in the areas of literacy, technology, the arts and health. Program Spotlight: Countywide Social-Emotional Learning Program to Address the COVID-19 Pandemic

Dedication to Special Education will direct SchoolsRule funds to a new comprehensive program developed to support the social-emotional learning (SEL) and mental health needs of students, parents, and school staff stemming from the COVID-19 Pandemic . The program is available to ALL Marin public schools and is specifically tailored to address the pandemic-related social-emotional needs of school communities, while simultaneously developing global SEL skills through a customizable curriculum for K-8 students, professional development and coaching for educators as well as parent education.
