Program Spotlight: Yes Foundation
Theater Program Returns!

After COVID forced them to cut their beloved districtwide 3rd through 8th grade after-school theater program in 2020, the Ross Vally Public Schools YES Foundation is thrilled to have brought the program back this school year, thanks in part to the funds they received from SchoolsRule.
The YES Theater Program puts on one production per year with students from each of the 4 Ross Valley elementary schools and a fall and spring production with White Hill middle school students. Productions this year have included Alice in Wonderland, The Wizard of Oz, The Little Mermaid, Sleeping Beauty and Once Upon a Mattress...all starring hundreds of Ross Valley students who are able to experience first hand participation in professional, quality, theatrical productions held at the historic San Anselmo Playhouse. Theater incorporates listening, reading, memory, teamwork, and self-discipline offering an opportunity for students to have fun while learning new skills. We are grateful to our donors whose support has helped revitalize this important program! We look forward to White Hill's final performance of the school year: Bye Bye Birdie performance weekend April 22-24

Partner Spotlight:
Marin Sanitary Service
Marin Sanitary Service

Marin Sanitary Service began in 1948 when the Garbarino, Segale, Zappetini, Marconi and Zanotti families all left San Francisco and ventured into the growing communities of Marin County to start a new garbage service. MSS currently services more than 33,000 residential and commercial accounts. With three generations of Garbarinos now working at MSS, the family continues to be invested in resource conservation through waste reduction education and comprehensive recycling and organics programs.
MSS's commitment to providing outreach and education to Marin's students, schools and the larger community is reflected in their long-standing partnership with SchoolsRule. As an early and generous supporter of SchoolsRule, Marin Sanitary Service has had a significant impact on the lives of the 36,000 public school students in our county. We are beyond grateful for their continued partnership and the many ways they support our community!
